Alaa Ashmawy is a global leader in higher education and engineering research management. He is a licensed engineer in Florida and Egypt and a geotechnical researcher. Prof. Reem Bahgat obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Imperial College London in 1991. She has been a Faculty Member at Cairo University since 1993. From 2016 till 2020, she was the Director of the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural and Educational Affairs in London, UK. From 2014 till 2016 she was Assistant to Cairo University President for Informatics and Information Technology. Prior to that, she was the Dean of Faculty of Computers and Information at Cairo University for five years. Dr. Bahgat was also a co-founder and Deputy Director of the Centre for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, affiliated to Bibliotheca Alexandrina and supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Michael K. J. Milligan is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in the STEM disciplines. In this role, Milligan is responsible for all aspects of ABET global operations and reports directly to the Board of Directors. Dr. Eesa Mohammed Bastaki is the President of the University of Dubai. Dr. Bastaki is the recipient of the highest award in the UAE, the “Emirates Excellence Award in Sciences, Literature and Arts”, in the field of Sciences. Dr. Nabeel Al-Rawahi obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University in 1994. He obtained his master’s (1997) and doctorate (2022) degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. In 2022, he returned to the College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor. He was appointed head of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from 2011 to 2017. He has been the Dean of the College of Engineering since 2020. Dr. Sabouni is a Professional Engineer and a Professor of Structural Engineering, with more than 35 years of versatile academic and professional experience. He worked as faculty member, researcher, visiting or adjunct professor at several universities, and held Higher Education leadership positions, including a University President, multiple times in the UAE. Mohamad Nassereddine: Ph.D., in Electrical Engineering, Western Sydney University, Sydney Australia M. Eng., in Electrical Engineering, Western Sydney University, Sydney Australia B. Eng., in Electrical Engineering, Western Sydney University, Sydney Australia Dr. Mohamad received a Ph.D. degree in the field of High Voltage Power Systems from Western Sydney University where he also received his MEng (Hons) in Research in the field of Electric Machine and Renewable Energy. Dr. Mohamad has over 17 years of experience in industry and academia. He delivered a large number of engineering courses across universities in Australia, the Gulf, and the Middle East. Dr. Mohamad's teaching experience covers the preparations and deliveries of a wide range of courses including electric circuits, power systems, renewable energy, and electrical machines. Dr. Mohamad introduced advanced equipment to the railway and renewable energy networks which add stability and cost saving to the project. He also managed the team for the new type approvals and updated the training structure for the introduced equipment. Dr. Mohamad received numerous appreciation for his outstanding performance from the industries. He also delivered numerous training workshops to national and international organizations within the electric power system and renewable energy industries. Dr. Mohamad has over 10 years of research and postgrad experience at Western Sydney University and American University in Dubai. Dr. Sana Amir is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD). She specializes in Structural Engineering and obtained her PhD from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. Dr. Amir’s research interests include Sustainable Design, Concrete Bridges, Finite Element Analysis, etc. with publications in several prestigious journals. Hoda A. Al Khzaimi is currently a research assistant professor at New York University Abu Dhabi and the Director of Center of Cyber Security in New York University Abu Dhabi. She served in different posts for research and development in Cyber Security and Cryptology for the past years. She headed the Department of Research and Development for Cyber Security and Cryptology in different national initiatives in the United Arab Emirates along with her associations to different security initiatives nationally and internationally. Wathiq Mansoor is a Professor at University of Dubai. He has an excellent academic leadership experience in well-known universities worldwide. He earned his Ph.D. in computer engineering from Aston University in UK. His doctoral work was on the design and implementations of multiprocessors systems and communications protocols for computer vision applications. Executive manager of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability at faculty of Engineering, Port Said University. A sustainable development goals SDGs trainer. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence AI applications in medical systems, wireless channel modelling, antenna design and analysis, and intelligent transportation. She has also a special interest in the methodologies, quality, and accreditation standards of the electrical engineering education. She is working in quality assurance and accreditation of Faculty of Engineering, Port Said University since 2009. She has working experience according to the Pearson higher education standards to the TVET students in AAST. She is the coordinator of the Smart Green projects national initiative in Port Said governorate.

Hiba Jaber is a Lead Structural Engineer at a leading firm in the local market. Having completed her undergraduate studies at the American University in Dubai (AUD) and graduate studies at Princeton University, she became interested in practical applications in the construction industry in Dubai. Since 2017, Hiba has worked as a structural designer on tens of projects in Dubai and the region, in addition to her interest in teaching where she has taught Reinforced Concrete Design at AUD. In addition, Hiba runs a summer internship program in collaboration with her company and AUD, mentoring undergraduate students interested in structural design.

Graduated with a Masters and PhD in Civil Engineering from Swansea University with thesis topic: “Modelling Damage, Fragmentation and Progressive Collapse of Structures using a Gaussian Springs based Applied Element Method”. Started working in the industry for the last 4 years at MMS Architectural and Engineering Consultants as a Technical Manager, and was teaching part time at University of Balamand in Dubai.

Mohammad is a 28 years old Emirati civil engineer at DEWA. He got his BSCE, MBA, and MSCE from AUD and AUS respectively. He is specialised in infrastructure engineering, operations, and project management. He served as an assistant professor of the civil engineering program at the University of Balamand in Dubai (UOBD) for the academic year 2021-2022. Currently, He is the team leader of water outage planning unit in Dubai’s distribution water network. In addition, he served as the transportation engineering discipline advisor for AUD’s civil engineering graduation project in 2022. In the near future, he is planning to pursue a PhD in Engineering System Management for Smart Cities infrastructure.

Daniela Iacona is the Director for International Engagement and Governance at ABET, a non-profit, non-governmental organization that accredits college and university-level programs in the disciplines of applied & natural sciences, computing, engineering, and engineering technology worldwide. Ms. Iacona has supported ABET’s mission for fifteen years and has played a key role in the development and implementation of its global operations plan. Ms. Iacona currently oversees all of ABET’s international initiatives, including its engagement in mutual recognition agreements, memoranda of understanding, and global outreach and collaboration activities. In her dual role, Ms. Iacona is also responsible for managing all operational activities related to the governance of ABET. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading all Board of Directors, Board of Delegates, four Area Delegations and affiliated Council and Committees operational functions. Ms. Iacona earned her Master of Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and baccalaureate in International Studies from Old Dominion University. She has also earned ASAE’s Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation.

With over 25 years of oil and gas industry experience, Dr. Hanan Farhat is one of the leading experts on Corrosion and Materials Engineering in the region. She is a Senior Research Director at Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute and the founding director of the Corrosion Center. Her resume also includes technical service management, as well as senior inspection and lead corrosion engineering positions. She also held a faculty of Engineering position at the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar. She has a PhD in Corrosion Engineering and a Master in Materials and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Her bachelor's degree is in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Tripoli University, Libya. She is a registered professional Canadian Engineer and holds international certifications in corrosion and inspection engineering. She represents the State of Qatar in several regional and international standards committees. Dr. Farhat is an advocate for women rights and gender equality. She is the founder and former Chairperson of the Qatar Women Engineers Association. She also founded the MENA Women in Engineering, and currently acting as the chairperson of the group.

Prof. Dr. Ibtisam Kamal is Professor of Chemical Engineering at Soran University in Iraq. Her main research is on modeling, optimization and simulation of production processes of drilling fluids and biofuels, as well as modified concretes. She is also Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs in the College of Engineering.

Rachida Ajhoun is Professor of Computer Science at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco. She is an IEEE Senior Member and a decorated recipient of the Royal Medal of Recognition Exceptional Class in 2021. She is a founding member and president (2008-2013) of the Association e-Next Generation Networks and a founding member and vice-president of the APRIMT association. Dr. Ajhoun holds Bachelor’s and doctorate degrees in computer science from Mohammadia School of Engineers in Rabat, and has published extensively in the fields of engineering pedagogy and e-learning.

Dr. Afaf Ghaith, holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Khartoum in Sudan. She was a faculty member at University of Khartoum and served as department head from 1999 to 2015. She is currently with the University of Technology and Applied Science in Suhar, Oman where she is the Chemical Engineering ABET coordinator. Her research interests include low-cost adsorbent materials in water treatment, waste management, and fly ash in soil stabilization and construction.

Asma Almani is an experienced professional in the field of oils and gas. She holds electrical engineering and EMBA degrees. Throughout her career, she worked in multiple functions at internationally recognized companies such as Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Ericsson, and Schlumberger. She currently plays an important role in managing Wintershall Dea's share in ADNOC’s mega ultra-sour gas Ghasha concession, one of the biggest projects in the world.

Ghaida Aburumman is Dean of Engineering and Assistant to the President for International Affairs at Isra University in Jordan. She is a hydrology and environmental engineering specialist with research interests in space technology, GIS, and remote sensing. She holds a B.Sc. in Biosystems Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology and Master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Jordan.
